One year in the blogosphere, more and more I see people living a blogger burn, and no I don’t mean being tired of blogging.
What do I mean? Many bloggers one day seem to enjoy their blog that much, especially the popularity found in the comments, that their life becomes the slave of their blog. Considered they had/have a life of course.
Many blogs, even personal ones, soon take a certain direction, a direction loved by the audience and commenters and popularity, obligating the blogger to keep up with the blog-set-pace, attitude and lifestyle.
Writing for an/your audience.
Soon the blogger realizes that her/his personal, private life suffers severely under this. What to do? Drop the blog?
And the popularity?
How many people are lonely without blog?
I know several ones. I read them daily.
Do they have time for an active life, posting and commenting on other blogs all day long?
I dare you.

Around a year ago I was at a point where I realized I was blogging for everyone else. It’s a rotten feeling. I scrapped everything and started over in semi-anonymity. Now I blog for me again, mostly. It’s hard to deny the effect of commenters and that sense of acceptance and community. Most of the time I blog just to have a blog. Free expression is all well and good, but I most like the minutiae and the technical aspects. I liken myself to a car enthusiast who enjoys driving but would rather tinker with the engine.

Joe, I like the potpourri your blog is. A nice and healthy mix of whatever you like at that moment.

I let estrogen or lack of estrogen lead my blogging. Hell, it’s however I’m feeling at whatever God awful hour I’m awake. Sometimes I feel love all warm, fuzzy-like bunnies. Wait, I deleted that post. Other times I’m wielding a knife, screaming “redrum, redrum!”
Lonely without blog? I don’t get that.

Hopefully you are not referring to me… Work’s been keeping me busy. ;) Bt I still blog. I was trying to blog every day in Oct, but I failed miserably when I got picked up for a client where I’m spending 10 hour days at… hehe.
